Details:

the "imreconstruct.cc" compiles all right with g++ 5.1 with the patch
"workaround_gcc_65843.cset"
Before installing with
pkg install image-2.4.0.tar.gz
defining the "HAVE_GCC_BUG_658433" with "setenv"

It still fails to build:

.../octave/image-2.4.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu-api-v50+/bwconncomp.oct: failed to
load: .../octave/image-2.4.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu-api-v50+/bwconncomp.oct:
undefined symbol:
_ZNK5ArrayINSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEEE17resize_fill_valueEv
error: called from 'which' in file
/usr/.../octave-4.0.0/share/octave/4.0.0/m/help/which.m near line 31,

Also octave complains:
load_path: .../image-2.4.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu-api-v50+: No such file or
directory
and there is no folder "i686-pc-linux-gnu-api-v50+" under "image-2.4.0/" or
anywhere in the computer-system
