URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?45201> Summary: namespace support (+dir) Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: octavebugs Submitted on: Thu 28 May 2015 12:28:41 PM GMT Category: None Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.0.0-rc4 Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: I saw an old thread about supporting Matlab's namespace convention. You put a folder in the path starting with a plus character then all functions inside the folder can be called by prepending the folder name. E.g. the folder is +mydir and the functions inside are called by mydir.myfunction() http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/namespace-support-td1638758.html It seems it was not implemented in Octave. Is there any plan to do so? There's a lot of code out there using the convention that won't run in Octave. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?45201> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
