Follow-up Comment #46, bug #44916 (project octave):

Ugh, testing this with my builds for RHEL 6 and SuSE 11 I noticed that it
works properly if I am logging in directly but not when I connect with SSH
(with X forwarding enabled).  Over the SSH connection Octave crashes as soon
as I try to plot something.  As I recall, X forwarding workd in the past.  How
strange.

Michael, if you have tried my patch on a Fedora system, what do you see when
connecting with SSH?

This is getting to be a real PITA.
