URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?45007> Summary: Show test() error message along shared variables section in pager Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: rlaboiss Submitted on: Mon 04 May 2015 04:53:39 PM GMT Category: Octave Function Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Incorrect Result Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: If the test() function detects an error in a unit test, then the pager is invoked (provided that we are in "more on" mode) when the shared variables section is too long to fit the terminal. When this happens, the error message itself does not goes through the pager and can only be accessed by quitting the pager and scrolling up the terminal lines. This behavior can be verified with the function foobar.m (attached below) by typing: test foobar A trivial cset for fixing this problem is also attached to this bug report. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon 04 May 2015 04:53:39 PM GMT Name: foobar.m Size: 90B By: rlaboiss <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=33899> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon 04 May 2015 04:53:39 PM GMT Name: show-error-message-in-pager.diff Size: 1kB By: rlaboiss <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=33900> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?45007> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
