Details:
I used the Inkscape's builtin XML editor (see Edit menu) to inspect a simple
2D axes exported as svg. I found out that for the following boxed axes, 4
zero-length lines are added at the corners of the axes.
axes ("xtick", [], "ytick", [], "color", "none") ## Remove distracting items
for easier inspection in Inkscape
print tst.svg
This looks like a minor issue but there is a simple fix and we should
generally avoid to add unnecessary objects that could confuse the viewers.
