Follow-up Comment #27, bug #44007 (project octave): I get even crappier behavior out of tar. It refuses to recognize the filename 'f1', although if I rename the file to something longer it works fine. This was discovered in Octave, but I verified it on the command line. C:\Documents and Settings\Rik\Local Settings\Temp\oct-eh5hg8>c:\Octave\Octave-4.0.0-rc1\bin\tar.exe -c -v -f my.tar dir2 f1 a dir2 a dir2/f2 tar.exe: Couldn't open f1 _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44007> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
