Follow-up Comment #3, bug #44470 (project octave): Tested on my Win 8.1 installation and Ctrl+C doesn't register, but on my XP 32 it does register and after I hit Ctrl+C twice (first time it gives a message to press again to abort) it crashes with memory error. Could be my XP installation is old and crufty though.
