Follow-up Comment #6, bug #44417 (project octave):


I have found the problem: from some reason, Octave first checks in
ditrectory c:bin (which in mypath) for executables, and finds some (wrong?)
executables. If I rename c:bin to c:bin1 it uses the executables shipped with
Octave and the installation goes well.
