Follow-up Comment #4, bug #42036 (project octave):

Single step through a = dir() shows:


>> a  =dir()
warning: dir: 'lstat (.\X+úbung.txt)' failed: No such file or directory
warning: called from
    dir at line 120 column 9
warning: dir: 'lstat (.\X+úbung)' failed: No such file or directory
