Details:
#!/usr/bin/env octave
# Hello everyone,
# I have an issue with image/imagesc plots of certain size.
# If I run the script below, I get a terminal flooded with weird
# symbols, as if there was something binary misinterpreted,
# some files with similar names are created, however
# not the desired correct plot.
# I can't tell whether it's an octave or gnuplot bug.
# Thanks
graphics_toolkit("gnuplot")
n = 10000 % this causes symbol-flood
%n = 9999 % this works
data=rand(n,8); % or other data, does not have to be random
%data=zeros(n,8); % (however this seems to be okay^^)
imagesc(data) % ...then the terminal will be flooded with symbols at
printtime
% plot(data) % ... but this works
print(["whyowhy.png"],"-dpng")
