Follow-up Comment #44, bug #42534 (project octave):

I have the exact same problem popping up randomly from time to time since
quite a lot of time (if I have to guess I'd say since I use Octave, I started
with version 3.2).

I am quite glad this issue as at last being investigated seriously, this has
been a huge hindrance for me and other users facing the same issue.

I have just tested on my laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. It has two graphical
cards: Intel Integrated GPU, and a higher performance AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon
HD 5650. After reading your discussion, I tried to switch between the two: the
AMD produces truncated curves, while the Intel Integrated GPU produces the
correct plots (although awfully looking, the text fonts aren't even the same
as on-screen).

Another solution I have come up with is to use gnuplot instead of fltk with:

graphics_toolkit('fltk');

In this case, I have no problem anymore when printing into a file, whatever
the graphic card.
