                 Summary: "legend" shifts other subplots away (in combination
with "hold on")
                 Project: GNU Octave

Details:

Here is an example of the behavior:

close all;
graphics_toolkit('fltk');

figure(1);

subplot(2,2,3);
plot(1:10);

subplot(2,2,2);
hold on;
plot(1:10);

input('Press key to continue!');
legend('A','Location','NorthEastOutside');

After pressing the key, the newly appearing legend shifts the other subplot
out of the way, making it mostly invisible :(

This happens only with fltk. In Gnuplot it's fine.

In Matlab this also works properly.
