Details:
Numerous examples exist where the axis location is centered about some origin
(often (0,0)), see, for example,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartesian_coordinate_system
R and many other languages allow for this important feature, but not Matlab
(where it is often requested). It would definitely increase the appeal of
using octave as an open source alternative.
