Follow-up Comment #13, bug #42255 (project octave): That approach seems reasonable. It needs some kind of exception handler for large arrays pasted in the Command Window. I don't remember what MatLab or SciLab does. I'm sure I tried to swamp them inadvertently when I used them in the past. Normally, if the array is even more than a few dozen characters, I would put it into a .m file. I just wanted a quick answer.
