Follow-up Comment #11, bug #42097 (project octave):
I have the version of BLAS from netlib.org.
Slackbuilds.org has time stamp on it of 20110419.
This timestamp is what is listed as the version on slackbuilds.org.
I have used reference blas in the past on other systems( not 64bit)
without any problems.
No, I did not have two different versions of lapack installed at the same
time. I removed the version of lapack for atlas before installing the version
of lapack from netlib.
