Hello everyone, 

I just saw another entry of s.o. actually having the same problem. However,
there is no solution mentioned, so I try it again. 

Java functions are supposed to be in the core of Octave. But when I try to
call a function like javaclasspath I do get the following error: 


error: javaMethod: Octave was not compiled with Java interface
error: called from: �㳮error:  
C:\Octave\Octave-3.8.1\share\octave\3.8.1\m\java\javaclasspath.m at line 60,
column 16



I also tried to install the java package from sourceForge which wasn't
successful either. I do get a lot of warnings that the some functions shadow
core functions and still no Java supported.

I have Java 1.8.0 - JAVA_HOME is set and PATH too.

Is this a bug or do I have wrong settings?
