Follow-up Comment #2:
I can see this too, regardless of color theme.
Since the tabbed layout is the default, is there some way we can make it work
the way it is now without flashing the focus? I think that would be preferable
to showing more panes simultaneously, information overload, especially if
someone is mostly interested in working in the command window, not the editor.
