Follow-up Comment #3, bug #41579 (project octave): Here's a thread on this subject from comp-soft-sys.matlab (tru Google Groups): https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.soft-sys.matlab/d03F4NsdA40 ...so it seems this (IMO ML inconsistency) has been hit before. Maybe Mathworks is prepared to fix this behavior, so do report it to them. Otherwise we might have to fix the incompatibility in Octave.
