Follow-up Comment #6:

Closing as a duplicate of a more recently reported bug about the audiorecorder
and audioplayer classes.

The work has largely been done to implement these classes, it just needs to be
cleaned up and merged into Octave's main repository for a future release.

Please provide any further comments on bug #41242.
