Follow-up Comment #2, bug #41258 (project octave): The current behavior is to execute error() with a message that says the toolkit initialisation failed due to an undefined reference. If you like it that way just recommend not applying this patch. The intent of the patch is to be more friendly by explaining that the requested toolkit does not exist and doing nothing.
