Follow-up Comment #6, bug #41061 (project octave):

Right, it is very foolish that the LLVM folks
live in their own world where changing the API
and file locations, etc., even within a "release"
does not matter.

But, the libgccjit seems right now to be just beyond
an idea. When it may become defined and stable is not
clear.

Our present JIT, but only for x86 and subject to
the continuing configuration and API issues, does
actually work, at least for me.

So, maybe patience is required for a while.

And, someone might ask the LLVM folks if they ever 
plan to support users like us. And, if so, how.
