Update of bug #32470 (project octave):
Severity: 3 - Normal => 2 - Minor
Priority: 5 - Normal => 3 - Low
Status: None => Confirmed
Release: 3.4.0 => dev
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
Confirmed on Octave 3.8.0 with gnuplot 4.6, GNUTERM set to x11, and the
following line in ~/.Xresources:
gnuplot*background: black
The plot background itself remains white, but the background of the area
outside the axes becomes black, which makes the axis labels unreadable.
Does not affect other gnuplot terminal types such as wxt or qt.
Obvious workarounds include using fltk (which is now the default in 3.8.0),
using other gnuplot terminal types, or not using this setting in gnuplot.
