Follow-up Comment #11, bug #40485 (project octave):

I pushed a fix for the initial position of floating widgets at startup with
cset

The issue from comment #10 should not happen since the widget's visibility is
also stored in the settings and is used at startup for the initialization of
the widget. I will have a look at this.
