Follow-up Comment #1, bug #40381 (project octave):

Actually, it looks to be intermittent. Sometimes it will display error:
putenv: Not enough space when running setenv.

Other times setenv and getenv works.


It does appear that after setenv works and I go to close the GUI, octave
crashes.

As mentioned before, this doesn't occur with my native build version of the
code.
