Follow-up Comment #8, bug #39933 (project octave):

Tae-Wong, there seems to be a number of miscommunications:

(1) We do not use git in Octave, so we do not have a "GIT log". Instead, we
use Mercurial, abbreviated "hg" so we have an "hg log". We used to use CVS and
keep separate GNU Changelogs, so you can find our old history in those GNU
Changelogs.

(2) We want you to prepare the actual hg changesets (also called "commits"),
because this is boring work that we don't care about too much. Indeed, Rafael
Laboissiere, for example, seldom spells his own name with French diacritics:

In fact, I've never seen Rafael spell his name with French diacritics, which
should be "Rafaël Laboissière", unless I'm much mistaken. I've cc'ed him
here to ask him if he really cares how his name is spelled.

(3) When you say "you want to...", it sounds like you're giving us orders or
telling us what to think. I realise this is probably a second language issue
and you do not intend to sound impolite, but at the moment it sounds a bit
impolite to me.
