Follow-up Comment #1, bug #39173 (project octave):

Developers are aware of this.  There is a lot of work right now in getting a
GUI in place and it uses Qt.  You could experiment with gnuplot's Qt terminal
and see if that does the necessary anti-aliasing.  However, it's a long way to
go on this because interactive support requires a big investment in
communication between the application and core code.
