Follow-up Comment #30, bug #38564 (project octave):

When I wrote this patch, I took into account support of multiple LLVM version.
But what the patch detect is not LLVM version but LLVM API instead, as jwe and
jordiGH suggested. 

llvm-static or llvm-devel seems Linux distribution (package management)
dependent. Under ubuntu, there isn't shared-library version of LLVM library.
Apt install static-labrary version be default. Those doing testing on other
platform should notice this situation.

In conclusion, support of liboctinterp.so linking with LLVM dynamic-library is
reasonable to me.

By the way, who is responsible for pushing patch and managing bug report? I am
new to Octave development.
