Details:

I'm using the 3.7.2 version of octave in gui mode and trying to copy and paste
commands I've discovered that I should use the shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+C and
Ctrl+Shift+V to do that, as in Konsole from KDE.

It would be nice if the classical Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V shortcuts can be used as
in Matlab and other programs.

On the other hand, due to the gui is qt based it would be nice if he Kate
editor from KDE could be embedded as the default editor in the gui because I
think it has more configuration options that the qscintilla.

And finally it would be nice if the background color could be configured in
the gui
