Follow-up Comment #5, bug #38086 (project octave):
Now I'm thinking it's not a question of giving time between clear and whos. I
tried introducing pause statements between the two with 1-second delays, and
that doesn't resolve the behavior, but putting them on separate lines does.
Some code triggered only on end-of-line or end-of-file but not semicolons
perhaps?
Either way, feel free to downgrade its priority.
