Follow-up Comment #3, bug #37960 (project octave):
Torsten, I think your mkoctfile command is linking to a different,
ABI-incompatible version of the Octave library than then you're running. So
when you run this program, you're running into UB, since you're running
against a different library than the one you compiled against.
Check that you don't have two different Octave installations running around.
