Follow-up Comment #3, bug #33613 (project octave):

imread and imfinfo will add '.fmt' parameter to filename and check if the file
is there.

updated doc for the added parameter

also added 'Index' as option to select a certain image from a multiple image
file (gif, tiff) to be like other numerical packages. So, the changeset also
fixes (37369)
