URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?35913> Summary: TeX character sequence "\ast" isn't recognized Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: burkart Submitted on: Tue 20 Mar 2012 05:45:54 PM GMT Category: Plotting with gnuplot Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Matlab Compatibility Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 3.6.1 Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: Among the list of MATLAB-supported TeX character sequences there's "\ast" (see http://www.mathworks.com/help/techdoc/ref/text_props.html#String). Octave doesn't recognize that sequence. Example: axes title('foo \ast bar') This produces "foo * bar" in MATLAB, but "foo \ast bar" in Octave. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?35913> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
