Details:
I am a great fan of gnuplot and use it a lot. It is a great choice as the
plotting back-end for octave.
Hwvr, I am continually frustrated by the lack of control (and hence plotting
features) accessible from octave.
Accepting there are certain limitations if alternative back-ends are used
concurrently, it would be very useful if there was some sort of mechanism for
passing gnuplot commands directly for where there is no direct control via
octave.
Better documentation would probably also help find some things it seems are
impossible but may be.
