Details:
in Cygwin 1.7.9 (a recent fresh install including Octave-3.4.0 and
GraphicMagick-1.3.12)
Using the attached file, or any other gif in a call to imread of the form:
#verbatim#
[M map]=imread('Muybridge_race_horse_animated.gif','frames','all');
in Octave results in the following error message:
#verbatim#
error: imread: invalid image file: __magick_read__: unsupported indexed image
type
error: called from:
error: /usr/share/octave/3.4.0/m/image/imread.m at line 74, column 7
No such problem occurs in MATLAB, and the 256 X 3 colormap is returned.
