Follow-up Comment #1, bug #30996 (project octave):
Well, Octave is not multithreaded. But even if it were, I think graphics
callbacks would still need to be processed during the pause, so the main
interpreter thread could not be completely suspended during that time, could
it?
I think it would be appropriate to discuss how we should fix this problem on
the maintainers list.
