Update of bug #29348 (project octave): Status: None => In Progress _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #1: Octave currently uses the gnuplot legends directly and so is limited to what gnuplot itself supports. This also means that the FLTK backend doesn't support legends at all. There is discussion underway to implement legends as text placed directly on the axes in the same manner as matlab does and when this is done, horizontal placement might be supported on all backends. I hope this will be done for Octave 3.4 as missing legends is a major reason the FLTK backend is still unusable.
