For  this, I  typically rely  on 822field  (from mess822[1])  which will
easily handle multi-line headers:

$ pick --X-Spam-Status score= | xargs mhpath | head -1 | while read x; do 
printf '%s\t%s\n' "$x" "`822field X-Spam-Status < $x`"; done
/home/amb/Mail/inbox/884         No, score=5.5 required=8.0 
XMSolicitRefs_0,XMSubMetaSx_00 autolearn=disabled version=3.3.2
