where does the current .../share/doc/nmh go, in the new scheme?

i don't need the exact old layout, but i do need the ability to easily
install nmh to its own self-contained tree. i sometimes have a couple
of such trees (/usr/local/nmh-1.6, /usr/local/nmh-gitmaster, etc, so
that my wife and i can run different versions), and it's much easier
to manage them that way. under lyndon's proposal, i'll end up with an
extra directory level (i.e., /usr/local/nmh-gitmaster/etc/nmh/...),
but i guess i can get used to that.
