Hi all... Many of you who don't hang out in #nel on IRC probably don't know
me (patoski), but the members of the Full Moon Studios team and myself have
been poking around NeL for quite a while. We thought you might like to know
about a little project we've been working on that might be of interest to
other NeL developers. Here's the fancy press release. ;-)

Full Moon Studios - http://www.fullmoonstudios.org
The Full Moon Studios team is pleased to present our first public code
release, the NeL CEGUI Demo and Driver
(http://www.fullmoonstudios.org/cegui/). This project began due to the lack
of a GUI toolkit in NeL. This tech demo combines the power of the NeL MMORG
framework with the portability and maturity of the CEGUI toolkit
(http://crayzedsgui.sourceforge.net). The result: a robust windowing/widget
toolkit solution, filling a sizable gap in the NeL framework.

The source code and binaries are available for the driver and demo
application under the terms of the GPL. Please refer to the NeL CEGUI Demo
and Driver page (shown below) for more information, screenshots and download
links.

For those of you who aren't familiar with CEGUI here's a little description
from CEGUI's web site:
" Crazy Eddie's GUI System is a free library providing windowing and widgets
for graphics APIs / engines where such functionality is not natively
available, or severely lacking. The library is object orientated, written in
C++, and targeted at games developers who should be spending their time
creating great games, not building GUI sub-systems!"

A big thanks to the good folks at Nevrax for GPLing NeL. On the open market
NeL would certainly cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to license.
Instead of charging for NeL, Nevrax has given determined developers a shot
at creating the games of our dreams. Thanks so much guys! You'll be
hearing a lot more from myself and the Full Moon Studios team in the future.

Best Regards,

Jason Oppel
