This seems hardly necessary. In my eyes, the --view option is meant
to be used by the user himself or herself, to prevent accidental
modification while looking around in a file. If there are scripts
that show a file to the user by using nano in view mode, and they
did not want to allow the user to view other files, those scripts
must have used either --ignorercfiles or --restricted (or both, of
course). But --ignorercfiles would prevent any customization by the
user, reducing the usefulness of nano as a viewer. So most likely
those scripts will use --restricted and they won't need to change
anything.
But if you wish to propose a small addition to the description of
--view and 'set view'...
