I think that single-keystroke default bind was a mistake. In the
first year or two it has caused me to lose quite a bit of edits.
Such a destructive action should have required two keystrokes --
^W^D, for example, where ^D is chosen because the neighboring keys,
^W^S and ^W^F do nothing by default.
