I've tried the patch and...  I don't like it.  The cursor disappears,
there is no indication that the user has to select something  in the
statusbar and that this is done with Enter, it takes the eyes far away
from where the user was typing, and if they try to see where they were
they can't find it because the cursor is gone (until they press Enter
or some other key), and in the color scheme that I use, the highlighted
suggested word is nearly unreadble.  In short: no, sorry.

In my eyes it is much more effective when the first ^] immediately
makes the first possible completion, and that subsequent ^]s cycle
through the alternatives.  This means: just one single key combo to
hit, and just one place to look at.  Comfortable.

One of the issues is that when I press Enter on one of the suggestions,
it crashes.  But then, I use "MALLOC_CHECK_=2".
