Doesn't seem to show me anything exciting, looking around I only found
some 'delete branch' section in
http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/UsingGit/ but I dont know if that
applies to trunk itself.

Did you end up filing a request to nuke the existing tree or forcing a
push, or would you like me to do so?
