Please see attached screenshot.  This is with a terminal size of 15 rows
and 75 columns (to keep the PNG small) and after typing the <End> <Del>
<End> <Del> <Ctrl-Left> sequence and then five exes, a space, and eleven
more exes.  I see the same thing when on a VT.
