As I noted in the cvs changelog, I suck.
This error and another one were my fault (I got things right befire
committing, rm'd the stuff by accident, redid the stuff but forgot to ad
m4/ to SUBDIRS. I also made a typo in m4/Makefile.am).
Should work now. With am1.5, at least.

How come? You shouldn't have configure.in in your tree anymore. Where is
it coming from?

I've proposed to some fellow devels to fix automake(s) tomorrow. At
least the permission thing shouldn't ship with woody...
