Thanks Carole, Franck,

I actually also asked Paul this morning - and he hasn't been shy :-)

Also generally checked with Dave and asked him as well for a CS version, so thanks a lot to Dave and Paul, seems like we are sorted with two brilliant
presenters.

Cheers and best
Meik

I would suggest Paul, to be honest. He has the practice

Has anyone heard from the eIUS project?
Sounds like a good publicity for myExperiment. But I'll probably not be here
in January. Paul? (or anyone else?)

Dear Franck,

today I don't write you in the typical myExperiment context but on
behalf of the eIUS project. We (I cc'd my colleagues Gabriel and
Mercedes in) want to ask you, if you would like to participate in the
production of a video trailer showing your use of myExperiment in your
research.

eIUS (e-Infrastructure Use Cases and Service Usage Models) is a project
funded under the JISC e-Infrastructure programme, led by Oxford
University Computing Services and e-Research centre in partnership with
the National Centre for e-Social Science (NCeSS) in Manchester. Its
remit is to engage with research communities from various domains and
disciplines in order to gather, document and publicise the experience of
e-Infrastructure users/early adopters. Please see
http://engage.ac.uk/eIUS for more information.

Within our task to engage with research communities from various domains
and disciplines in order to gather, document and publicise the
experience of e-Infrastructure users/early adopters, we are also plan to
produce a series of short videos, about 3 minutes long, to illustrate
the various ways in which e-infrastructure is currently used by UK
researchers. The aim of these videos is to act as 'trailers of
research'. i.e. to promote the good practice of e-infrastructure
champions like yourselves in order to encourage other researchers to
follow in your tracks. The eIUS videos will be published online on the
Community Engagement portal, and links will be provided from JISC and
other key locations relevant to the UK research community.

In our bioinformatics case study we would like to do such a video
involving the use of myExperiment and we thought of you as a
particularly good real user candidate. Your participation would require about 3-4 hours sometime in January to talk about the your research and get filmed by a professional media team, then provide some feedback on
the draft version of the video.

Let me know what you think, we need to draw a list of the likely
participants in these videos as soon as possible, therefore a prompt
expression of interest would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks and best wishes
Meik
