Small update:

I checked out the ebuild, and it seems gentoo
installs the includes into /usr/lib/mozilla/include.
And the gentoo mozilla has pkg-config support,
so building mozilla-bonobo from CVS should work
out of the box.

If you're uncomfortable with CVS, I can maybe
put up a snapshot tomorrow. If you decide to
try CVS, you need automake 1.6 and autoconf
2.5.
