I'm getting this on multiple databases/projects, by cd'ing to any
directory that's not the toplevel of the project and running
`mtn ls unknown`

A _MTN/debug log is attached.

Any ideas? Sorry if this has been reported before.

Yeah, this is fallout from the changes I made a while ago to fix the problem with 'mtn add *' failing when it sees the _MTN directory. Sorry about that. I'd be happy to revert these changes for now if this new problem is worse than the old one. Anyone have an opinion?

I have been staring at the path handling and tree walker code a bit but haven't really had much time to devote to this. If anyone else does have a chance to take a look I'd appreciate it. I have added a new xfailed test "ls_unknown_in_subdir" that exposes the problem.

Cheers,
Derek
