Subject: [Monotone-devel] bug report: windows monotone can't check out files with parentheses in the name

Hi,

I copied a database file over from linux to windows and tried to check
out a branch that contains a file that has parentheses in the name.
This is the message that I got:

mtn: fatal: boost::filesystem::filesystem_error:
boost::filesystem::path: invalid name "Merijn de Jonge: Build-Level
Components (IEEE ToSE).pdf" in path: "Merijn de Jonge: Build-Level
Components (IEEE ToSE).pdf"
mtn: this is almost certainly a bug in monotone.
mtn: please send this error message, the output of 'mtn --full-version',
mtn: and a description of what you were doing to address@hidden
mtn: wrote debugging log to C:/Documents and
Settings/[redacted]/Application Data/monotone/dump
mtn: if reporting a bug, please include this file

The dump file is attached.

I also tried creating a new database, synching it with the old and
checking out from there (in case windows monotone does some magic at
this point) but to no avail.

This is the output of `mtn --full-version`:

monotone 0.30 (base revision: unknown)
Running on          : Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 (5.1, build 2600, Service Pack 2)
on ia32 (level 6, rev 3336)
C++ compiler        : GNU C++ version 3.4.5 (mingw special)
C++ standard library: GNU libstdc++ version 20051201
Boost version       : 1_33_1
Changes since base revision:
unknown
