'mtn log' and 'mtn annotate' are unusable for me since a dual opteron 244 is
just too slow
to handle a repo with 8k revs (and ~800 merges). To get around that I have a
newsreader
subscriber to an rss feed that aggregated the viewmtn rss feeds, which allows
me to search
in commit messages in realtime (Newsfire has search-as-you-type). Nathaniel
built me mtn
from mainline last week that sped up log, which means that starting from 0.30
'mtn log'
will be useable for large-ish projects.
I still think monotone is the best open-source VCS/SCM around, but I am a bit
dissapointed
at 'history digging' tools and their performance. And more recently in 'mtn
add' and 'mtn
diff' being broken by the IMO bogus restriction code. So I'm wondering, is
there a plan to
fix bugs like this, or is the plan to keep adding more features like policy
branches and
do a bug-sprint after that?

regards,

Koen
